Ministerium at Regents

“Service to the wider community has been a part of the school's fabric from its founding. "Ministerium" is embedded in our crest and put into practice by students at all grade levels. As they wrap gifts for children in need, gather coats, serve meals to friends without a home, or work at a local food bank, Regents students learn what it means to be the hands and feet of Christ.”

Ministerium has been a part of Regents since its founding.  Similar to other experiential learning in the form of living history days, student serve others to reinforce our curriculum.

To be the hands and feet of Jesus, we look beyond the borders of our campus to help the vulnerable. This means stepping out of our comfort zones, listening with empathy, acting with compassion, and offering our time and talents selflessly.  Our desire is to develop not only academic excellence, but students who reflect integrity, empathy, and compassion for our neighbors and our world.

In the Grammar School, each grade has a ministerium theme corresponding to their developmental stage and curriculum. In the School of Logic, several school days per year are designated as service days where homerooms serve together. School of Rhetoric students serve in the Austin community through opportunities provided by the Service Council, and 9th and 10th grade class trips serve marginalized people in Waco and San Antonio.
