Athletic Values
Regents Athletics has chosen the acrostic ARMOR to represent the values, pursuit, and intended direction of its fepartment and discipleship culture. ARMOR is rooted in Biblical theology, informed by Scripture, encourages servant-leadership, and seeks to engage in thoughtful communication. Teaching and modeling ARMOR starts with coaches. It looks like coaches pursuing a relationship with the Lord by spending time in prayer, in the Word, and in Christian community.
ARMOR is displayed through servant-minded leadership and thoughtful communication. Coaches cannot ask their athletes to go or grow spiritually where they are not willing to go or grow themselves. The process is a “growth-for-both” mentality. Every interaction between coach, athlete, parent, or other community member is an opportunity for growth. Mercifully, God can and does grow us and our athletes despite what we do. But, The Team (coaches and athletes) will develop a stronger and more authentic spiritual culture with a “growth-for-both” mindset.

Athletic Vision
“Regents Athletics exist to communicate truth, goodness and beauty in athletics. Our vision is to shape athletes and the world for Christ and honor the Lord.”
Sheila
athletic director
Living out our Christian vision on the field or court means athletes compete with service, integrity, humility, perseverance, respect, and compassion, demonstrating Christ's love through their actions. Whether winning or losing, we strive to glorify God in every play, reflecting His truth, goodness, and beauty.

Sports Medicine
“We want to educate the whole child, which means incorporating health training. Loving the Lord with our hearts, minds, bodies, and spirits means including physical activity.”

DIRECTOR OF SPORTS PERFORMANCE
We are happy to provide medical coverage to your student-athletes during both practices and competitions. Regents is one of the few private schools across the state of Texas that has invested in two full-time certified athletic trainers. Student-athlete health, safety, and wellness is our number one priority.
As Certified Athletic Trainers, our scope of practice encompasses the prevention, examination and diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of emergent, acute, subacute, and chronic neuromusculoskeletal conditions. In addition to treating musculoskeletal conditions, we conduct concussion baseline testing (SWAY) every year which encompasses both balance and cognitive tests. This information is then utilized to safely return your athlete to the field and classroom, if they were to sustain a concussion. In order to provide the best possible care for your student athletes, we collaborate with physicians in the Austin area. Please reach out to us if you have any questions.
