The Value of Ministerium |
Ministerium
The hands extending the basket of loaves and fishes depict ministry or service. Our worship, love and devotion to God are completed as are evidenced in our words and deeds.
“We have seen our peers and teachers demonstrate the spirit of ministry and service every time we have the opportunity to serve. Everytime we have ministerium everyone just seems ready and excited. We love the reminder that it is our job to help others and to teach them about Christ.”

The hands extending the basket of loaves and fishes depict the essence of the Latin word ministerium, which communicates ministry or service. Our worship, love, and devotion to God are not complete unless they then flow out in words and deeds to our fellow man. Matthew 22:37 also reminds us that Christians “shall love your neighbors as yourselves.” In Matthew 25, Jesus poignantly reveals the supreme significance of our acts of loving service to others when he declares, “Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.”
